Walter M. Fields Lumber Company, Inc. specializes in the production of fine textured White Ash and other North American Hardwoods for users around the world. Walter M. Fields, Jr., founded the company in 1960. Fields Lumber operated as an office wholesale lumber firm until 1990, when the company purchased the F.T. Dooley Lumber Company of Memphis, TN. In August of 1994 the firm purchased the Thompson-Katz Lumber Co., also in Memphis.

The F.T. Dooley division specializes in high quality Red Oak, White Oak, Soft Maple and Poplar, as well as re-manufacturing lumber to meet today's exacting requirements. The Thompson-Katz division has been specializing in producing the industries finest White Ash for more than 80 years. The combination of years of experience of the Fields Lumber management team, and the personnel in the two acquired divisions, allows the company to offer products meeting the most exacting standards of buyers worldwide.
